Bankrupt site put back into business

Posted on October 14th 2009

A construction site that was originally made bankrupt earlier this year following the recession is going to be put back into business again by Lagan Homes.

The 96 acre site in Dundonald, East Belfast will create 150 construction jobs for the development of more than 1000 homes. The original owners of the land were Taggart Holdings who were made bankrupt, leaving the development in the hands of the administrators, who then sold on to Lagan Homes.

The £180 million development will begin shortly, however the completion of the first 150 homes, the first phase of the build, hopes to be finished by summer 2010.
